The main part of this Victorian Hotel was built in 1862.Sygun Copper Mine, 2 km from Beddgelert, is a Victorian copper mine that was closed in 1903. ![]() Gorseddau Slate Quarry The Gorseddau Tramway which was a 3 ft gauge railway built in 1856 to link the slate quarries around Gorseddau with the wharves at Porthmadog. The National Slate Museum is located at Gilfach Ddu in the 19th century workshops of the now disused Dinorwic slate quarry, within the Padarn Country Park, Llanberis, Gwynedd. The museum has the largest working waterwheel in mainland Britain. Other options:
